The new St Anns Alley has its first residents
Some of the homes of St Anns Alley are complete and ready for occupancy. Some already have buyers living in them.
St Anns Alley, when finished, will consist of 34 single-family homes in the West Columbia River District. The new homes are being built in the area of Center, Spring, Herman and Augusta streets. The community takes its name from the St. Ann’s Rescue Mission, a home for boys, that was located in the same spot in the late 1800s.
St Anns Alley is being built in an existing historic neighborhood.
The two or three bedroom homes have two-and-a-half baths and are up-to 1,600 sq.-ft. The homes are different colors, with 9-foot ceilings, and fiber cement siding exteriors.
Each house will have its own yard and two parking spaces. Allison Ramsey Architects of Beaufort (www.allisonramseyarchitect.com) is designing four basic models with various interior layouts in different colors.
