The Hideout, a new breakfast, lunch restaurant, coming to State Street, West Columbia
The Hideout is coming to West Columbia’s River District at 118 State Street in West Columbia.
According to Laurent Prescelti, the owner, The Hideout will be a breakfast and lunch restaurant in the River District with croissant sandwiches, salads and espresso. The patio behind the building will be available for outdoor dining.
He hopes to have a staff hired, and be open by Dec. 10, but Prescelti said that date could change. Hours will be from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours will be 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“We are working on the website and Instagram page and will keep them updated if anything changes regarding the opening date,” Prescelti said.
Prescelti, who is French, is responsible for Crepes and Croissants on Sumter Street in Columbia. He said The Hideout will also serve quiches and tartines.
He said he uses fresh and authentic ingredients to prepare his fare.
Prescelti said the upstairs of the building on State Street will be open for private gatherings and should be complete by the spring.
