River District Church launched from West Columbia Baptist
River District Church was launched on Nov. 1, from West Columbia Baptist Church.
The church at 400 State Street in West Columbia had already partnered with Lexington Baptist Church. The church was established in 1896.
“This was long in the making,” said Pastor Mike Turner of Lexington Baptist in a sermon regarding the name change to River District Church. He also thanked all of the people who had been a part of West Columbia Baptist Church for so many years.
Consequently, the revitalized River District Association cut the ribbon at its new location at 803 Meeting Street, West Columbia, in late October.
Bible Study at River District Church starts at 9:45 am and Worship starts at 11 am.
