In a Facebook post, the owner of D’s Wing’s confirms the restaurant is moving to West Columbia. For 30 years D’s has been in Parkland Plaza in Cayce, but its lease was not renewed earlier this year. Click here for link to Facebook post

The post said that on May 19, 2020, D’s was informed that its current lease would not be renewed as of May 19 2021.

West Columbia investor Joe Taylor Jr. said in a Tweet: D’s Wings will be great addition to an exciting and safe dining and entertainment area. It all started when the WeCo city council invested in turning a dump of a parking area into a beautiful parking lot surrounded by palmetto trees and public art and set the appearance example.

On May 20, 2020, D’s owners met with Mayor Tem Miles of West Columbia to explore the opportunity of moving to a new building beside West Columbia’s Interactive Art Park on Meeting Street.

Construction on the new site began last Monday (Nov. 16.) The plan is to be open in the new place by May 2021.
