Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of the individual found deceased following a residential structure fire that occurred just before 7 p.m. Monday.

The fire occurred in the 300 block of Chickasaw Trail in Gilbert.
According to Fisher, Ms. Delories Stone Rauch, 91, of Gilbert was pronounced dead on scene the due to fire-related injuries. Ms. Rauch was the only resident of the home.

Lexington County Fire Services, Lexington County EMS and several other agencies responded to the fire.

The first crews that got to the scene found heavy smoke coming from the home. Firefighters entered and extinguished the fire. Firefighters found the victim and attempted to provide aid.

SLED is investigating the cause and origin of the fire, which is standard in all fatal fires.
