Halloween is over, election day is upon us and believe it or not, some are already preparing for the Christmas season.

Amazon is looking to hire more than 1,300 seasonal employees in South Carolina, most of them at Amazon’s West Columbia fulfillment center at 4400 12th St. Ext., just outside of Cayce, near the I-77 overpass.

In West Columbia. Amazon employees in the West Columbia area can earn $15-an-hour or more.

Amazon announced the hiring effort last week and in a release said: “the seasonal jobs offer opportunities for pay incentives, benefits, and a path to a longer-term career, or can simply provide extra income and flexibility during the holiday season.”

Amazon is hiring 100,000 in the US and Canada for the season.
