Tim James was sworn in as the newest member of Cayce City Council, Tuesday. He was elected to Cayce City Council Dist. 1 on Sept. 22. James won the seat by one vote over Tiffany Aull.

James joked that many people have taken credit for being that one vote.

He also said he chose Lott to swear him in as a show of support for law enforcement and to demonstrate a willingness to reach across county lines in a spirit of cooperation.

James’ wife, Gay, and his two daughters, Megan and Taylor, were also on hand for his swearing in.

James also serves as the president and CEO of the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
