Lexington 2 football is back, varsity teams in action Friday night
There were cheerleaders, proud parents and fans who could lose themselves in the euphoria of the game.
The Brookland-Cayce Junior Varsity football team took the field Thursday versus Fox Creek.The Bearcats defeated the Predators 22-7. It was the opening of a football season that was postponed because of the coronavirus.
Lexington Two’s football teams, that normally begin play in late August, start the season Friday night. The BC Varsity team travels to North Augusta to face Fox Creek. That game is at 7:30 p.m.
If you want to stay in town, Airport High School will host Lower Richland in a home game that begins at 7:30 p.m., Friday.
Gray Collegiate Academy hosts Batesburg-Leesville at the Midland Sports Complex in Pine Ridge. That game begins at 7:30 p.m., too.
