Lexington Police made five DUI arrests in the Town of Lexington, SC during Saturday night’s MADD South Carolina Saturation Saturday.

These arrests started with traffic stops for speeding (as much as 20 mph over the speed limit); driving left of center and into oncoming traffic; and for disregarding a red light.

A police report stated that “Each of these drivers put themselves and others at unnecessary risk.”

The Labor Day holiday Sober or Slammer! campaign continues for another week though impaired driving is always a focus of our Traffic Safety Unit and Patrol Division officers, according to police.
