The Columbia Fire Department conducted a water rescue with its first shift crews last Friday evening on the Broad River.

The first-responders battled swift water conditions to pull a juvenile male to safety after his leg became stuck in the crevice of several rocks on a small dam on the river. The male patient was transported by EMS.
