Cayce’s Streetscaping plan is nearly complete
The City of Cayce has upgraded the highly traveled Knox-Abbott corridor with a major streetscaping project.
There is still some minor utility work to do, but other than that the project is complete, said City of Cayce Spokeswoman Ashley Hunter. She said comprehensive project has made a difference in Cayce.
The plan included sidewalk and major pedestrian safety improvements. Other upgrades include the sidewalk; traffic signal arms; trees, sod, landscaping; and brick plazas at intersections.
Wooden light poles and old light fixtures were removed and new power poles were installed.
The total construction cost of the streetscaping plan is $6.3 million. See all photos below:
