Arrest made, suspects wanted in Lexington burglary, grand larceny case

The Lexington Police Department has announced the arrest of Frederick Michael Nerini, age 42 of Lexington. The LPD is also asking people in the community to provide information on the whereabouts of Andrew Thomas Goff, age 34 of Leesville, and Cynthia T. Sallee, age 39 of Leesville. They are wanted for their alleged involvement in several recent burglaries, grand larcenies, and vandalism cases.

On the afternoon of July 6, officers were dispatched to the Public Storage located at 4935 Sunset Blvd. and The Harvest, located at 4865 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, due to both places having been burglarized, vandalized and multiple items stolen.

While at Public Storage, officers found that the exterior fence to the business had been cut and locks had been removed from several storage units. Numerous items were taken from the storage units to include fine china, carved animal figures, and crystal ware. Two trailers were also stolen and the value of all items taken from Public Storage was over $21,000. 

While at The Harvest, officers found that an outdoor shed has been broken into and that lawn equipment, a golf cart, and other items had been taken which was valued at over $7,000.

During the course of the investigation, it was found that these incidents occurred between the dates of July 4, 2020 and July 6, 2020.  Detectives were able to find surveillance video which showed multiple people being involved who were also seen driving three vehicles, including one truck that had stolen both trailers from Public Storage.

On July 9, 2020, images of the vehicles involved and the stolen trailers were shared on the Lexington Police Department Facebook and Twitter pages and quickly tips were provided to the detectives which identified the suspects who were involved in these incidents.

Detectives of the Lexington Police Department, working together with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, continued their investigation and interviewed Frederick Nerini, Andrew Goff, and Cynthia Sallee about their involvement in these cases.  Detectives were able to recover all items that had been stolen which were being kept at two residences in Lexington County, South Carolina.   

Frederick Nerini was arrested on July 11, and he has been charged with two counts of Grand Larceny and Criminal Conspiracy. When seen at Lexington County Bond Court, he was given a bond of $20,000 and remains in custody at the Lexington County Detention Center.

Andrew Goff has outstanding warrants for two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, four counts of Grand Larceny, two counts of Vandalism, Criminal Conspiracy, and Driving Under Suspension 1st Offense.
