1 person died in a motorcycle crash on Ansel Caughman Road near Union Church Road in Lexington County, late Sunday night.

The crash occurred at 11:20 p.m. about 10 miles west of Batesburg, said Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The rider of a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was killed after the motorcycle ran off of the right side of the road and struck a tree. The rider was not wearing a helmet, said Tidwell.
