From Dawn Kujawa – Lexington Two Communications Director – The Lexington School District Two of Trustees voted Thursday night to select three candidates as finalists for the position of Superintendent-Elect. The Superintendent-Elect will work with current Superintendent, Dr. Bill
James, for one year.

The three finalists are (in alphabetical order): Dr. Brenda Hafner currently serves as the Chief of Schools/Assistant Superintendent for Leadership and School Excellence for Sumter School District in Sumter,S.C.

Prior to this position, she served as a principal in Richland School District Two. She also has experience as a Founding Lead Teacher, Assistant
Principal, and Social Studies Teacher. She received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, her Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary and Middle Level Social Studies from The
Citadel, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Todd Terrill currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for Richmond Community Schools in Richmond, Indiana. Prior to becoming superintendent, Dr. Terrill served as Director of Secondary Education in
Muncie, Indiana. He has experience as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher and Coach.

He received his Doctor of Education degree from Ball State University, his Educational Specialist Degree from Indiana State
University, his Master of Arts in Education, Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University, and his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (minor in Science) from Maranatha Baptist
University.

Dr. Nicolas Wade currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for Elmwood Park Community Unit School District No. 401 in Elmwood Park, Illinois. Prior to becoming superintendent, Dr. Wade served as
Assistant Superintendent. He has experience as an Assistant Principal and an English Teacher. He received his Doctor of Education degree from Argosy University, his Master of Arts in Education degree from Benedictine
University, and his Bachelor of Arts from Bradley University.

The board made its selection of three finalists after a thorough review of all applicants and interviews with semi-finalist applicants on June 1, 2, and 3. Each finalist will have a final interview with the board on June 22,
23, and 24.

“The board is pleased to present three highly-qualified candidates for this crucial leadership position,” said
Lexington Two Board Chair Bill Bingham. “The board looks forward to the next phase in the search process.”
