The Congaree River at Columbia crested Sunday morning, according to the Congaree Riverkeeper. It crested at just over 29 ft, and is now slowly on its way back down. The Congaree River at Congaree National Park is at 19.26 ft and is expected to crest early Monday at 19.6 ft.

The Congaree Riverkeeper also said flows in the Lower Saluda will remain high as Dominion Energy continues to release water to bring the lake level down.

And there’s more rain in the forecast, so the flooding may not be over yet. Rain is predicted for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
