One person died in a vehicle crash in Richland County Saturday night, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol said.

It happened around 6 p.m. on Koon Store Road, near the intersection with William Duffie Road, said Lance Cpl. Matt Southern. The crash occurred in the Blthewood area of Richland County.

Southern said a 1995 Honda was traveling west on Koon Store Road when it ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
The driver of the Honda was not wearing a seat belt and died.
The collision is still under investigation by Highway Patrol.
