It did not take long. There is a new place to dine and get dessert in West Columbia.

Sunshine Cafe and Catering Company has moved into the former location of Carolina Cafe in Westland Square where Food Lion is, at 2250 Sunset Blvd. Sunshine’s owner is Shutondia Culcleasure. Carolina Cafe left in early December.

The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Link to Sunshine’s Facebook Page

Like its predecessor, Sunshine will offer sandwiches, soups, bagels, salads much of the same fare that Carolina Cafe served.

Sunshine will also offer more desserts and it just added its “world famous chef salad.”
