Cayce Public Safety conducting Shop with a Cop for children
The Cayce Department of Public Safety is asking for local businesses and families to get involved in the 2019 Shop With a Cop Initiative.
Each year, just before Christmas Day, officers from the Cayce Department of Public Safety take children from the Cayce community to go shopping for Christmas gifts. This year, Shop with a Cop will take place on December 20. “Every child should know the joy of Christmas. This is a wonderful way to give back to less fortunate children right here in our community,” said Officer Josh Addy.
Byron Snellgrove, Cayce DPS Director, stated, “Our Cayce businesses have always been very generous! Every donation, no matter how small, adds up so we can include more children in our program. Not only does this give that child something special for Christmas, it also strengthens the bond between officers and members of the community and gives these children a sense of security in knowing they can count on our officers.”
