Troopers looking for car involved in fatal hit-and-run on I-77 in Columbia, Monday
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run after a person walking near Interstate 77 was killed in Columbia, Monday.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. at mile marker 12 (the Forest Drive exit.) The person was hit by the car and the car kept going after the collision, according to Trooper David Jones of the SCHP.
The vehicle suspected to be involved is a 2013 to 2018 Kia Forte 4-door sedan, silver in color. It may have damage to the right front and undercarriage.
