Lexington County Fire Service units responded to 900 Turkey Berry Lane last Thursday afternoon for a heavy equipment fire.

Upon arrival, heavy smoke and flames were coming from a backhoe. Arriving units quickly extinguished the fire.

One firefighter received minor injuries after one of the tires of the backhoe erupted. He was treated on scene and units cleared.
