A portion of the Cayce Riverwalk (Phase 4 – Thomas Newman Boat Landing) was closed Wednesday afternoon. A body was found and the Cayce Department of Public Safety was investigating a possible suicide.

Later, Ashley Hunter, City of Cayce spokeswoman said in an statement: “Our condolences go out to the victim’s family. All further questions should be directed to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.”

The Cayce Riverwalk was reopened late in the afternoon.
