Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the man who died in a vehicle collision that occurred in the 1000 block of Saint Matthews Road (SC-6) near Swansea at approximately 6:35 p.m. Sunday.
According to Fisher, Mr. Myron W. Riley, 61, of Swansea, was pronounced dead at the scene. Riley was traveling westbound when his vehicle left the right side of the road, went down an embankment, overturned, and ran into a house. The S.C, Highway Patrol said Riley was ejected from the car.
Riley was not wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred. An autopsy was conducted Sunday to determine the cause of Riley’s death. The results are currently pending.
The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
