Over the past two days Lexington Police Department officers have responded to at least 15 collisions. The LPD reported the high number of accidents, late Thursday afternoon.

The LPD said this spike in the numbers highlights the need for drivers to always be alert behind the wheel. Watch your speed, don’t follow too closely, look for stop signs and traffic lights and always yield the right-of-way. Please do your part and drive safely.
