Black Rooster to open in 2-to-3 weeks, hiring staff
Black Rooster is a restaurant at the northeast corner of the Brookland development in West Columbia. It will be opening in two-to-three weeks.
Chef and Bourbon restaurant-owner Kristian Niemi first announced, in 2018, his plan to open a rooftop restaurant and bar in the Brookland development. He said the new venture would overlook the Congaree River. Black Rooster is a French restaurant in the style of French brasseries and bistros.
Black Rooster will also feature an all-French wine list and a cocktail list heavy with French spirits and liqueurs. It will also have a very large rooftop bar overlooking the rivers and city.
According to a post on its Facebook page, Black Rooster is in the process of hiring staff. The restaurant is interviewing for Bartending positions.
