Two people are dead after a car and motorcycle accident in Cayce, Friday evening.

Sgt Evan Antley of  the Cayce Department of Public safety said a call was received around 7:24 p.m regarding a car-and-motorcycle collision. It occurred in the 2800 block of Charleston Highway at Dixiana Road, near the Pilot Travel Center.

The driver and a passenger on the motorcycle, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Outbound lanes of traffic were detoured as crews worked the scene.

The accident remains under investigation. C
