The intersection of West Main Street and Gibson Road in Lexington was closed early Wednesday morning.

Several poles and traffic lights were damaged due to a collision involving an intoxicated driver overnight. Lexington Police were asking motorists to please heed detours around the area, and use alternative routes if possible.
