Filing closed Monday at noon for the Lexington Two School Board. The General Election is in November.

Nine people filed to run for four open seats on the seven-member school board, according to Mary Brack, Director of the Lexington County Registration and Elections office.

Those who have filed are: Abbott Bray; Liz Castles; ElizaBeth Dickerson Branham (incumbent); Joseph “Chuck” Hightower; Cindy Kessler (incumbent); Keven Key (incumbent); Robin Milton; Johnny Payne; and Paige Salonich.

Board Member William H. “Bill” Bingham, Jr., Chairman is not running for reelection.

There are Lexington Two Schools in West Columbia, Cayce, Springdale, South Congaree and Pine Ridge.

Current Lexington District Two Board Members are: Christina F. Rucker, Secretary; William H. “Bill” Bingham, Jr., Chairman; R. Kevin Key, Vice-Chairman Linda Alford-Wooten; ElizaBeth Dickerson Branham; James M. “Bud” Summers; Cynthia M. “Cindy” Kessler.
