Kalieah S. Richardson, 8, of Batesburg, died from the injuries she received in an accident involving a logging truck and the vehicle in which she was a front-seat passenger.

Kalieah was pronounced dead Friday evening at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital where she was transported after the car she was riding in collided with a logging truck on N. Lee Street. Kalieah will also be leaving behind the gift of life through organ donation, the coroner’s office states.

Kalieah leaves behind her very special and strong mother Paula and a little sister who is four-years-old. She has many other family members and friends, according to the release from the coroner’s office.

The accident is still under investigation by the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
