Eight Lexington Two student musicians have been selected for All-Region and All-State Bands.

REGION 2 JUNIOR BAND

• (6th-8th grades)
• Northside Middle School: Bryce Loughery, 1st Alternate Timpani; Ruth Ann McCarty, 19th Chair Clarinet; Donovan Norris, 1st Alternate Tenor Sax
• Pine Ridge Middle School: Justin Sightler, 7th Chair Percussion

ALL-STATE JUNIOR BAND

• (6th-8th grades)
• Busbee Creative Arts Academy: Jayson Mikkelson, 4th Chair Oboe

REGION 2 CLINIC BAND

• (9th-10th grades)
• Airport High School: Kelby Kenner, 9th Chair Trumpet

REGION 2 SENIOR BAND

• (11th-12th grades)
• Airport High School: Ethan Jeffcoat, 7th Chair Trumpet; Jonas Shealy, 12th Chair Clarinet

Students in the Region 2 bands auditioned for their spots against schools for the SCBDA Region 2. All-State students auditioned against top chair students from across the six SCBDA Regions statewide.
