5 more coronavirus deaths this week in Lexington County, says DHEC

According to the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control, 17 people have died in Lexington County of the coronavirus, as of Saturday.

That’s five more than DHEC reported last week.

There are 27 cases of coronavirus in the 29170 Zip code, that includes the Springdale area, and 26 cases in the 29169 ZIp code, that is West Columbia. The 29033 ZIP code of Cayce has 10 coronavirus cases, according to DHEC.

Richland County has recorded 40 coronavirus cases, as of Saturday, according to DHEC. Greenville County and Richland County were tied for highest number of coronavirus cases in the state. Lexington was tied with Horry County for second-highest number of deaths, as of Saturday.
