Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was fatally shot on Groover Circle, Cayce, in the early morning hours of Monday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Jose L. Gonzalez, 42, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to a single gunshot wound. 

An investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division and Cayce Department of Public Safety is ongoing.
