Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of a child who was shot inside of a vehicle in the 200 block of Harbison Blvd in the Columbia area of Lexington County on Tuesday, Christmas Eve.

Fisher states that Mr. Jah’el E. Walker, 4, of Columbia sustained a gunshot would while in a vehicle. The child was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, the Columbia Police Department, and the State Law Enforcement Division continue to investigate this incident.
