Two men were fatally shot inside of a Butternut Lane apartment in Woodland Village, in Lexington county, said investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. The report was issued in a release around 12:45 Tuesday afternoon.

Another was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.  He died later Tuesday afternoon. Detectives said they do not believe it is a random incident.

Deputies were on the scene interviewing potential witnesses. Crime scene investigators will collect evidence from inside and around the apartment.
