3 Lexington 2 elementary school students recognized by the City of West Columbia for holiday essays and artwork

Three Lexington Two elementary school students were recognized by the city of West Columbia for their holiday essays and artwork.

Evelyn Seller, a fourth-grader at Saluda River Academy for the Arts, and Hudson Mechling, a second-grader at Riverbank Elementary, were both winners in the “What Christmas Means to Me” essay contest.

Skylar Edwards, another fourth-grader at Saluda River Academy for the Arts, was the first-place holiday artwork winner. Her artwork is on the cover of the city’s holiday program, and it will be displayed on the Art on State Wall at the West Columbia Interactive Art Park, 425 Meeting St.  

The winners were recognized December 1 during the city of West Columbia’s tree lighting event.
