A passenger in the Nissan was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. A third car, a 2008 Nissan, hit the 2015 Nissan. The driver of the 2008 Nissan sustained minor injuries. The accident happened at approximately 3:36 a.m., according to Jones. The accident resulted in the interstate being blocked for about 6.5 hours.

At about 10:28 a.m. Saturday, 2007 Chevrolet collided with a tractor trailer on I-20, Eastbound at Mile Marker 67, according to Jones. The collision occurred during a lane switch. The river of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene.  The crash was in Richland County.
