3 contested Lexington County Council seats, 1 in West Columbia

There are candidates running for seats on Lexington County Council. The Primary is Tuesday. Voting hours are from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

There are three contested seats in Lexington County:

Lexington County Council District 8 covers West Columbia, parts of Lexington, and Oak Grove. Ned Tolar is the incumbent. He is being challenged by Charles Crouch and Glen Conwell for the GOP nomination.

Lexington County Council District 2 cover the Batesburg-Leesville, Gilbert, and west Lake Murray area. Larry Brigham of Batesburg-Leesville is the incumbent. He is being challenged by Jeff Sarokas and Frank Townsend for the GOP nomination.

Lexington County Council District 7 covers Seven Oaks and part of Irmo. Beth Carrigg and Lloyd Higbe are candidates for the GOP nomination.
