3 charged with attempted murder in connection to West Columbia shooting
A West Columbia man and woman were arrested Friday, along with another West Columbia man on Saturday. The arrests are in connection to a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday.
Dylan Malik Corbet, 19, Maryam Aziza Corbet, 21, and Brandon Anthony Reed, 20, are all charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of a Firearm and/or Knife During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
“Based on our investigation into this incident, these three individuals conspired to and did shoot at two juvenile victims,” said West Columbia Police Chief Marion Boyce.
The victim that was shot was treated and taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. The names of the victims will not be released due to them being juveniles. Corbet, Reed, and Corbet were transported to and booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
