3 challengers file to run for Lexington County Sheriff, Deb Summers not running for reelection to Lexington County Council
Three candidates are running against Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon. They are: Alan Driggers; Garry Rozier; and Billy Warren. All filed to run as Republicans, according to the SC Election Commission. Click here for SC Election Commission
Filing for the June 11, State Primary for countrywide offices ended on Monday.
Todd Cockrell and Doug Leonard are running for the Lexington County Council District 4, seat. Both filed as Republicans. The seat is currently held by Deb Summers. She did not file to run for reelection.
Michael Bishop is challenging Scott Whetstone for the Lexington County Council District 1, seat. Both are on the Republican ticket.
Incumbent Darrell Hudson is being challenged by Brent Munnerlyn for the Lexington County Council District 3, seat. Both are on the Republican ticket. Incumbent Gene Bimbo Jones is being challenged by Clifford Fisher for the Lexington County Council District 5, seat. Both are on the Republican ticket.
Lexington County Margaret Fisher Coroner Margaret Fisher, Lexington County Auditor Chris Harmon and Lexington County Clerk of Court Lisa Comer have filed and are running unopposed. All are Republicans.
