Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green is notifying the Town of Lexington community of an ongoing death investigation in the Whisper Lake neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to a residence in the neighborhood to find two deceased individuals on the premises. The Lexington Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The scene is secured, and there is no known threat to the surrounding neighborhood or general public. Residents should feel safe in their homes, and no additional precautions are necessary at this time.

Green reassured the public that there is no danger to the community.
