2 of the 3 killed in truck crash are from Lexington County

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the names of the individuals who died in a pickup truck crash.

Columbia/Richland Fire, EMS, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle collision, just after 2 a.m. Sunday, in the 9000 block of Two Notch Road, Columbia.

Killed in the crash were: Nelson Spain Jr. 23, of Pine Plain Road, Swansea of blunt chest and abdominal trauma. He was an unrestrained backseat passenger, Darrius Pringle, 22 of Kings Court, Columbia. He died as a result of blunt force trauma to the abdomen; Tomas Walker, 22, of Burns Drive, Swansea, died as a result of blunt head trauma. The report is the result of autopsies performed on each individual.

The 2004 Dodge Ram Crew Cab was northbound on Two Notch Road when it crashed into multiple trees coming to a stop on the edge of the wood line. All occupants were all pronounced dead at the scene.    

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate this incident.
