2 in Lexington County charged with trafficking fentanyl, and other drug and firearms offenses
A Lexington County man and woman were arrested two weeks ago after Lexington County deputies conducted a traffic stop.

Jonathon Shockley, 26, was charged with two counts of trafficking fentanyl, two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV drugs and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.
Emily Gomez, 25, was charged with trafficking fentanyl and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.
“Shockley and Gomez were arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop on Interstate 20 around mile marker 47,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon stated. “During the traffic stop, deputies found 166 grams of fentanyl and a handgun in the car.”
Investigators with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team obtained a search warrant for Shockley’s home, according to Koon.
“Investigators found fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, scheduled prescription medication, marijuana and multiple bags of additional suspected opioids inside the home,” Koon said. “Investigators also seized over $76,000 and multiple guns.”
Shockley and Gomez have been released from the Lexington County Detention Center after meeting conditions of their bond.
