The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident off Riverbend Drive. Deputies responded to a reported shooting around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Details are limited at this time as detectives work to gather information.

Following a dispute, an unidentified person opened fire, hitting two bystanders who were unrelated to the incident. The two victims are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies will be increasing patrol in the area and following leads, according to the LCSD. Investigators said they believe it was an isolated incident and said there is no immediate threat to the public.
