1st Annual Taylor Watford Run/Walk for Hope attracts good crowd, Saturday

It was good weather for a run Saturday morning. There was a cloud cover and the breeze was blowing. More than 100 runners and walkers took advantage of the good conditions to participate in the Taylor Watford Run/Walk for Hope. It started behind Brookland-Cayce High School.

The Taylor Watford Foundation was founded by Jimmy and Jade Watford. “This was a good crowd,” said Jade. “We’re very thankful for everyone who came out and their effort to help us fight substance abuse.” Taylor Watford was Jimmy’s son and Jade’s brother. He died of a drug overdose. The Taylor Watford Foundation was established to help others fight the growing drug-use epidemic.
