Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was killed in the motorcycle accident at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The accident occurred in the 100 block of Saint Davids Church Road near West Columbia.  Caitlin Clark, 19, of Lexington was killed.

The motorcycle on which Clark was a passenger left the road on the right side and the

driver lost control. Clark was believed to be wearing a helmet. The driver of the motorcycle was

transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.  An autopsy performed Saturday revealed she died from injuries she sustained in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
