According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Mason Smith, 10, of Lexington died in a tragic accident near his home on Saturday, April 13.

A statement from the coroner’s office reads: “He was surrounded by family and friends and doing what he loved since the age of four. His favorite things to do were to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with those that he held close.

Please keep the family in your hearts as they grieve this immeasurable loss. The family also asks for
privacy during this difficult time.
