One person was killed in a Lexington County vehicle crash late Saturday night. The crash happened just after 11 p.m. on Stone Road near Batesburg-Leesville, according to Master Trooper of Davidson of the SC Highway Patrol.

The fatality was the result of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado heading south when it went off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and several trees, before overturning. A front-seat passenger died at the scene. The crash is under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol.
