
1 person killed, 2 injured, in Lexington County crash, Friday afternoon
One person died and two people were injured in a Lexington County collision on Friday.
Cpl. Nick Pye of the SC Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Old Orangeburg Road near Chestnut Street.
According to Pye, a 2003 Toyota sedan heading west on Old Orangeburg Road veered left of the center line and crashed into a 2024 Subaru SUV heading east.
The driver of the Toyota was killed as a result. The driver and a passenger of the Subaru were taken to a hospital. No additional information has been provided on their condition. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the victim of the crash.
