One person died in a crash on Pine Street, near Thor Road, according to Lance Cpl. Nick Pye of the SC Highway Patrol.

Pye said a 2014 Kia SUV was traveling east on Pine Street, near Pelion, when the SUV ran off the road and hit a culvert and then hit a pole. The crash occurred around 6:17 p.m., Sunday.
The Driver of the SUV was killed and a passenger was not injured.
