One person was killed after a collision on Pine street, near Josh Road, close to Pelion. Three others were also taken to the hospital after the crash. It happened around 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to Trooper Nick Pye of the S.C. Highway Patrol a 2012 Ford sedan collided with a 2017 Hyundai Sedan on Pine Street. The Ford ran off of the left side of the road and hit a culvert.

The driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Hyundai ran off of the right side of the road and hit a culvert. The driver was taken to the hospital and later died from the injuries suffered in the crash.

The incident is being investigated by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
