One person died after a crash in Lexington County, Wednesday. The crash occurred on Muddy Springs Road, near Wessell Road, about 4.5 miles south of Lexington, at about 5:45 p.m., according to Cpl. Tyler Tidwell of the SC Highway Patrol.

A 2002 GMC Envoy was traveling East on Muddy Springs Road when it ran off the road and hit a ditch. The Envoy overturned and the driver died at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle, said Tidwell.
